Indulge yourself with an eight day, seven night Christmas time tour of Austria, beginning and ending in Munich, Germany. It is here that a world famous passion play has been diligently performed each decade since 1634. Also a part of this magnificent tour is a viewing of the well known ‘Silent Night’ Chapel, where the beloved Christmas carol was performed for the first time back in 1818. Guests will then visit Salzburg, hometown of Mozart, with an intermission at Austria’s oldest restaurant. Here, they will savor hot chocolate and ginger biscuits.

A trip to the enchanting and ever changing Swarovski’s Crystal World, the face of a goblin enclosing a world of awe and beauty, adds to the magic.

Another excursion in the midst of this wondrous vacation is a scenic steam train ride to the Mayrhofen ski resort; in addition, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a serene, horse drawn sleigh ride through the snow covered wonderland of the Austrian country side on Christmas Day.

Tours feature Christmas shopping in Innsbruck and a guided stroll through the village of Kirchberg. Experienced local guides will be provided in Salzburg, Linderhof Palace and Kirchberg.

Meals include delectable daily buffet style breakfasts and enticing four course dinners and salad buffets each evening. A special gala is planned for Christmas Eve, and a traditional turkey lunch for Christmas Day. Time is set aside each day for exploring the villages and sites on the itinerary, as well as for having lunch in local restaurants and perusing local shops.
